Discover the Mediterranean Soul of Villa Antea
Did you know that Villa Antea is nestled on a fully fenced 5,000 m² estate, thoughtfully designed to reflect the authentic spirit of the Istrian countryside?
The garden is home to a diverse collection of Mediterranean plants, including more than 60 olive trees, as well as lemon, mandarin, and pomegranate trees, and various types of ornamental vegetation carefully chosen to thrive in this climate. Our landscape is not only beautiful to look at, but also deeply connected to the land and its traditions.
Among the greenery, you’ll also find a small, family-tended olive grove and a selection of truffle trees growing symbiotically with oak trees — a natural pairing symbolic of Istria’s unique flora.
We primarily use our homegrown olive oil for our own needs, making it a healthy, environmentally friendly product, free from harmful additives. In small quantities, we’re proud to share it with friends and returning guests as a token of our hospitality.
The garden is also rich in aromatic Mediterranean herbs like lavender, rosemary, oregano, mint, and thyme — all of which are available for guests to enjoy and use in their cooking.
To help you fully immerse yourself in this fragrant oasis, the garden features two rustic-style seating areas with chairs and tables — perfect for relaxing, reading, or simply soaking in the colors and scents of Istria and the Mediterranean.
